The Long Passage Trip will provisionally be in late
September for a period of
5 days
OR
7 days
dependent upon demand and the wishes of those on the trip.
There is little leeway in the dates owing to leave restrictions and other Club events.
At this time anyone interested is asked to contact the nominated Skipper to indicate their interest and state
whether they would prefer 5 or 7 days. Although a final decision on number of boats, dates etc. will not be made until late July, at which time those coming will be asked to put down a small deposit, it would be most helpful if anyone interested would let me know as soon as possible so a decision can be made on an alternative Club activity if there is insufficient interest.

What is it about?
As the name indicates this is a long passage trip of five days or as in 2011 of seven days, often intially sailing over night across the channel to France or the Channel Islands. This is very useful for those members who want to increase their log book mileage including night sailing experience.
This event is headed up by an experienced member - a Yachtmaster - who will dictate the course and ports the trip will visit which is very much weather dependant.
